Accounting Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, invoices, and expense reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Enter financial data into accounting systems accurately and timely.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and summaries for management.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain organized accounting files and documentation.
- Assist with audits and compliance requirements.
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payments.
- Perform general administrative duties related to accounting operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support roles is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time or part-time position, depending on organizational needs.
