Software Engineer — Test Suite (Onsite Batam)

IBMC is assisting a client in hiring a vital technical leader. Our client designs, manufactures, and supports enterprise-class IT and AI infrastructure systems — from GPU servers to data platforms — all built, secured, and supported in the UAE. Powering technological sovereignty and strategic enterprise initiatives, they are expanding their global footprint and establishing a new operational facility in Batam, Indonesia.

We are seeking a highly analytical, automation-driven, and process-oriented Software Engineer — Test Suite to own our localized hardware validation frameworks. Based permanently on-site at our facility in Batam, this role serves as the critical bridge between software engineering and manufacturing execution. Your goal is to develop, optimize, and maintain advanced manufacturing test software to ensure all factory-floor systems perform flawlessly and meet enterprise-grade criteria before deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance manufacturing test software and automated validation scripts customized for enterprise-class infrastructure products.

• Automation Scripting: Write and optimize robust automated test suites using Python and shell scripting to rigorously stress-test CPUs, memory, networks, and GPU architectures.

• Environment Administration: Oversee, configure, and maintain Linux-based testing environments, ensuring stable system deployments across the production floor.

• Data Logs & Analysis: Structure and build continuous automated reporting systems to log error codes, capture performance regressions, and track quality yields over time.

• Cross-Functional Optimization: Collaborate closely with hardware technicians, quality control inspectors, and international systems engineers to rapidly refine testing steps and reduce cycle times.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Computer Science, Informatics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• Technical Stack: Strong, hands-on proficiency in Python programming and shell scripting (Bash).

• System Competency: Advanced Linux administration skills with deep comfort navigating terminal environments, setting up processes, and configuring core systems.

• Mindset: Highly structured, logical thinker with an eye for automated debugging, log analysis, and system architecture validation.

• Presence: Must be fully open to a permanent, on-site position located in Batam, Indonesia.

Nice-to-Haves / Bonus Points

• Prior experience building or implementing manufacturing test automation frameworks within high-volume hardware or computing electronics factories.

• Familiarity with hardware stress-testing benchmarks, firmware flashing protocols, or automated optical tracking hooks.
