HSE OFFICER

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) professional to join our team at Matahari Tire Indonesia, PT as a full-time employee based in Kendal, Central Java. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across our operations, contributing to the overall well-being and sustainability of our company.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop, implement and monitor comprehensive health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to protect our employees, contractors and the local community

2. Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards

3. Provide training and support to all personnel on HSE best practices

4. Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence

5. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and standards

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a strong HSE culture throughout the organisation

7. Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports on HSE performance

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry

2. Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related field

3. Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage all levels of the organisation

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach

6. Proficient in using HSE management systems and data analysis tools

7. Certification in OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 or other relevant HSE standards is highly desirable
