Bartender

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join the team at THE SHISHA HOUSE SEMINYAK in Seminyak, Bali. This is a contract position offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment. As a Bartender, you will be at the heart of our guest experience, crafting exceptional beverages and delivering outstanding customer service in one of Bali's premier destinations.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing, mixing and serving a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests

2. Taking drink orders from guests and bar staff, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

3. Maintaining exceptional cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including equipment and glassware

4. Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently

5. Following recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency across all drinks

6. Engaging with guests in a friendly, professional manner to create a welcoming atmosphere

7. Monitoring stock levels and reporting when supplies need to be replenished

8. Complying with all health, safety and licensing regulations at all times

9. Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues during busy service periods

10. Suggesting menu items and special promotions to enhance the guest experience

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working as a Bartender in a hospitality setting, preferably in a busy bar or lounge environment

2. Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and other beverages, including classic and contemporary recipes

3. Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality

4. Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately

5. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times

6. Strong communication and teamwork abilities

7. Good personal grooming and professional appearance

8. Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts as required

9. Certification in responsible beverage service or bartending qualifications (preferred)

10. Experience in high-volume establishments or resort settings would be advantageous
