Experience Engineering Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Engineering Supervisors, Technicians, and Shift Engineers in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, utilities, and plant breakdowns effectively and efficiently.

• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation to eliminate repetitive failures and improve long-term equipment reliability.

• Lead major engineering projects, including equipment installation, plant expansion, overhaul, modification, and commissioning activities, while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and with minimum operational disruption.

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Asset Care strategy across the site using the existing Process Control System and maintenance management tools.

• Ensure that all preventive and corrective maintenance activities are properly planned, scheduled, executed, documented, and reviewed in accordance with engineering standards and operational priorities.

• Collaborate closely with Operations, HSEQ, Production, Procurement, and external contractors to ensure engineering support aligns with business and production requirements.

• Manage engineering shutdown planning and execution to ensure factory downtime is optimized, and maintenance activities are completed effectively.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, process efficiency, energy optimization, cost reduction, and operational excellence.

• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and statutory regulations while fostering a strong safety culture and promoting safe systems of work throughout the engineering department.

• Manage and monitor third-party contractors and engineering vendors to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and project performance standards are achieved.

• Prepare and manage engineering budgets, including repair & maintenance costs, CAPEX proposals, spare parts control, and cost optimization initiatives.

• Develop engineering KPI monitoring systems, including downtime analysis, MTBF, MTTR, maintenance compliance, utilities performance, and equipment reliability metrics.

• Build a high-performance engineering culture through effective leadership, coaching, succession planning, capability development, accountability, and performance management.

Education Required: 

A bachelor’s degree/ master’s degree in mechanical engineering from a reputable university with 7 years of experience in the food industry.
