Position Overview: The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales and building relationships with clients, focusing on technical solutions and products. Key Responsibilities:

Technical Sales Support:

  • Provide pre-sales technical support and expertise to customers, explaining product features and benefits.

  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical training to prospective clients.

  • Assist the sales team in creating proposals and quotations based on customer requirements.

Customer Needs Analysis:

  • Engage with customers to understand their technical needs and challenges.

  • Offer product recommendations and demonstrate how the company's solutions align with customer needs.

Sales Process Involvement:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue sales opportunities.

  • Prepare and deliver product proposals, technical specifications, and cost estimates.

  • Participate in negotiating contracts and closing sales deals.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.

  • Provide post-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and troubleshooting any technical issues.

  • Act as a liaison between the customer and the engineering or technical support teams.

Market and Competitor Analysis:

  • Monitor competitor offerings and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams about customer preferences and product enhancements.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.

  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Representative, or in a similar sales and technical role.

  • Experience with product demonstrations, presentations, and proposal creation is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of the technical aspects of the products or services being sold.

  • Proficiency in using technical tools and software relevant to the industry (e.g., CAD, CRM, ERP systems).

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts in simple terms for a diverse customer base.

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Experience in the specific industry or product line being sold (e.g., software, machinery, electronics).

  • Certifications or additional qualifications related to the product or service being offered (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma).


Work Environment:

  • Travel to client sites may be required for product demos, presentations, and troubleshooting.

  • Interaction with both internal teams (engineering, marketing, etc.) and external customers.
