About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Merchandiser to join PT Gistex Garmen Indonesia. This is a full-time position based in Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat. As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless coordination between production, quality control and client requirements. You will be responsible for managing the complete merchandising cycle, from order intake through to final delivery, ensuring all garments meet the highest standards and client specifications. This role is essential to our operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and our company's reputation in the competitive retail and consumer products sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Manage and coordinate all aspects of garment orders from initial client briefing through to production completion and delivery

2. Prepare and maintain comprehensive merchandising documents, including technical specifications, quality standards and production schedules

3. Liaise between clients, production teams and quality assurance to ensure all requirements are clearly understood and met

4. Monitor production progress and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of orders

5. Conduct quality inspections and ensure garments comply with client specifications and company standards

6. Manage fabric and material selections, ensuring optimal choices for each product line

7. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and maintain profitability analysis for each order

8. Handle communication with clients regarding order status, changes and any issues that arise

9. Maintain accurate records of all orders, samples and deliveries

10. Collaborate with design and production teams to optimise efficiency and reduce waste

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2-3 years of merchandising experience in the garment or textile industry

2. Strong knowledge of garment production processes, materials and quality standards

3. Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously

4. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for client communication

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word

6. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments

8. Understanding of technical garment specifications and production requirements

9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

10. Problem-solving capabilities and proactive approach to challenges

11. Familiarity with merchandising software or ERP systems is preferred
