Full Stack Software Engineer (Prototyping Engineer)

We're looking for a Fullstack Engineer with a strong backend foundation to turn product ideas into real, working applications that users can try right away. This is a fast-moving, hands-on role: you own products end-to-end — on your own, from interface to data to deployment — ship quickly, and still keep code quality high. You'll do this not just once but repeatedly, so building in a way that's reusable and easy to repeat matters.

A big part of the role is working closely with non-technical stakeholders: understanding what they actually need and translating that into the right technical solution. You'll work with AI as part of how we build, so you should be comfortable using AI to move fast while knowing when to take control to protect quality. Responsibilities

• Build and develop interactive prototypes into functional, user-ready applications that can be tested by real users.

• Take ideas and requirements from business stakeholders, translate them into practical technical solutions, and proactively recommend the best approach.

• Integrate AI capabilities into products in a reliable that creates real value for users.

• Set up the underlying foundations a product needs to run smoothly — including data handling, user access, and deployment — so prototypes are stable and accessible to invited testers.

• Build supporting internal tools so the team can manage content and monitor usage on their own.

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain prototypes throughout the testing period, keeping them running reliably for users.

• Iterate quickly based on user and stakeholder feedback, while keeping code clean and ready to hand off to the production team.

• Apply strong security and data-handling practices to protect sensitive information and credentials at all times.

• Write the necessary documentation so others can understand, run, and continue the work.

• Build in a modular, reusable way so the same process can be repeated quickly for the next product.

• Partner with the production team — brainstorm and advise on architecture, data, and what a prototype needs to become production-ready.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience building and shipping web applications end-to-end, with a backend focus and full-stack versatility.

• Proven ability to own a product solo, end-to-end — from interface to data to deployment.

• Strong ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear technical solutions, and to proactively recommend the right approach.

• Hands-on experience building internal tools, admin dashboards, or content-management interfaces.

• Conscientious about protecting data and confidentiality — handling sensitive information and credentials with care.

• Comfortable building with AI assistance without compromising quality — knowing when to lean on AI and when to take control.

• A bias for speed and pragmatism: you know when something is good enough to ship.

• Highly Adaptive and open to feedback — actively seek input, listen well, and adjust your approach quickly as priorities and learnings evolve.

• Able to communicate well with non-technical teammates, in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Technical Requirements

• Strong backend engineering skills, with solid experience in a server-side language such as Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript), Python, or similar.

• Core stack you'll work in day to day: Next.js (React) for full-stack applications, PostgreSQL for data (schema design, authentication/authorization, access control), and Git for version control.

• Broader technical awareness beyond the core stack — enough to brainstorm, weigh trade-offs, and advise the production team on what a product needs as it scales. For example: when a relational database fits versus other data stores, how to think about caching, background jobs, or queues, and what foundations matter for a production-ready system.

• Comfortable building and consuming APIs, and integrating third-party and AI/LLM services.
