About the role

We are seeking a talented and creative Wedding Stylist Decoration to join our dynamic team at PT Menaravisi Tour & Travel (Varawedding) in Bali. This is a full-time position based in Bali, where you will play a crucial role in transforming wedding venues into stunning, personalised spaces that exceed our clients' expectations. As a key member of our wedding planning and execution team, you will be responsible for conceptualising and implementing innovative decoration designs that align with each couple's vision, cultural preferences, and budget requirements. This role is essential to our company's reputation for delivering exceptional wedding experiences that create unforgettable memories for our clients.

Key responsibilities

1. Consult with couples and wedding coordinators to understand their vision, style preferences, cultural requirements, and budget constraints

2. Conceptualise and design creative decoration themes and layouts that are cohesive, visually striking, and aligned with clients' preferences

3. Source, select and procure high-quality flowers, fabrics, lighting, furniture, and decorative materials from trusted suppliers

4. Create detailed decoration mood boards, sketches, and visual presentations to present concepts to clients for approval

5. Manage decoration budgets effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency whilst maintaining quality standards

6. Oversee the installation and setup of all decorative elements on the wedding day, ensuring precise execution of the approved design

7. Supervise decoration teams and coordinate with other vendors (florists, lighting technicians, furniture rental companies) to ensure seamless integration

8. Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate venue spaces, lighting conditions, and structural considerations

9. Troubleshoot any design or installation issues on-site and implement creative solutions under pressure

10. Maintain current knowledge of wedding decoration trends, colour palettes, seasonal themes, and cultural decorative practices

11. Document completed projects through photography and maintain a portfolio of work for marketing and client reference purposes

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a wedding stylist, decorator, or in a similar creative design role, preferably within the wedding or events industry

2. Strong creative vision with an exceptional eye for colour, composition, spatial design, and aesthetic detail

3. Excellent understanding of various wedding styles, themes, and cultural decorative traditions, particularly relevant to Balinese and Asian wedding practices

4. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar tools for creating mood boards and visual presentations

5. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple wedding projects simultaneously whilst meeting tight deadlines

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients, vendors, and team members

7. Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate wedding schedules and client requirements

8. Physical capability to perform on-site work, including standing for extended periods and managing decorative materials

9. Knowledge of Bali venues, vendor networks, and local sourcing options is highly advantageous

10. Portfolio demonstrating previous wedding decoration projects and design capabilities

11. Mandarin speaking is a plus and priority
