What You’ll Do
Manage Tier 1 supplier in-house laboratories for physical and mechanical footwear testing within the local sourcing network.
Execute and coordinate testing strategies to ensure footwear products meet global performance, durability, and compliance standards.
Implement the latest official guidelines, testing methodologies, and standards across assigned supplier laboratories.
Lead laboratory audits to evaluate processes, equipment calibration, safety compliance, documentation, and personnel competence.
Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions with suppliers to ensure timely and sustainable closure.
Review, update, and bench-mark test methods against global industry standards such as SATRA, EN, ISO, and ASTM.
Stay updated on regulatory requirements and propose actionable recommendations to maintain full product compliance.
Conduct technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions for supplier laboratory staff to drive continuous capability improvement.
Partner with cross-functional teams including Development, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, and Innovation to address technical challenges.
Ensure supplier laboratories maintain traceable, accurate, and audit-ready records while providing regular risk and status reports to the Laboratory Manager.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or University degree in Material Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical education with a strong focus on footwear product testing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in laboratory organization, staff management, or quality operations within the footwear industry.
Deep functional knowledge of footwear materials, product testing methodologies, and supplier laboratory management protocols.
Strong understanding of international footwear industry standards and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required, and the ability to communicate in Chinese is a strong advantage to coordinate with regional counterparts and suppliers.
Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time to support supplier factories and laboratory sites.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with a detail-oriented mindset committed to precision.
