Job Description
Position: Sales Manager (Lgorithm)
Position Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and managing the Company's sales team to achieve revenue, profitability, and business growth objectives. The role is accountable for driving sales performance through effective leadership, coaching, pipeline management, sales execution, and continuous improvement of sales processes.
In addition to contributing to business development activities, the Sales Manager is responsible for building a high-performing sales organization by recruiting, developing, motivating, and managing the performance of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and manage the daily activities of the sales team to ensure the achievement of individual and team sales targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, territory plans, and business development initiatives aligned with the Company's commercial objectives.
- Establish individual sales targets, monitor performance, and implement action plans to achieve or exceed departmental goals.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews, forecast meetings, and sales performance discussions.
- Ensure the consistent use of the Company's sales methodology, CRM, and reporting processes.
Team Management
- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and mentor sales personnel to improve capability and performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance improvement plans where necessary.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-focused sales culture.
- Recommend promotions, incentives, disciplinary actions, and other personnel actions in accordance with Company policies.
- Coordinate closely with Human Resources regarding hiring, onboarding, employee development, and performance management.
Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with strategic clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Participate in high-value client meetings, negotiations, and contract discussions as necessary.
- Support the sales team in closing complex or strategic business opportunities.
- Identify new markets, industries, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.
Commercial Management
- Review commercial proposals, quotations, and contracts prior to submission to ensure commercial viability and compliance with Company policies.
- Ensure pricing strategies, discount approvals, and commercial terms remain aligned with approved Company guidelines.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure successful client onboarding and project delivery.
Sales Operations
- Monitor sales pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, conversion ratios, and overall team productivity.
- Prepare periodic sales reports, revenue forecasts, business reviews, and management presentations.
- Recommend improvements to sales processes, tools, compensation programs, and customer engagement strategies.
- Monitor competitor activities, industry developments, and market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, contractual obligations, confidentiality requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by Management consistent with the objectives of the position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of experience in B2B sales, with a minimum of two (2) years in a sales leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Strong leadership, coaching, negotiation, and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management abilities.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Proficient in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and sales reporting tools.
- Highly organized, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance may be evaluated based on, but not limited to:
- Achievement of team revenue and gross profit targets.
- Individual sales performance, where applicable.
- Sales pipeline value and forecast accuracy.
- Team conversion rates and sales productivity.
- Sales team retention, development, and engagement.
- Client acquisition, retention, and account growth.
- Timeliness and quality of CRM updates and reporting.
- Compliance with Company policies and commercial processes.
Reporting Relationship
The Sales Manager shall report directly to the Chief Operating Officer or to such other officer as may be designated by the Company from time to time.
