Supt. Facilities Project Control
Working Location: Site Based – West Sumbawa
Working Schedule: Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)
Supt. Facilities Project Control is mainly responsible to manage the planning, controlling, and monitoring of all project development and construction activities, ensuring progress, cost, manpower, and resources are efficiently tracked, reviewed, and aligned with strategic objectives. This position also will identify risks, oversee budget control, ensure accurate reporting and compliance with project requirements, providing strategic action plans to achieve project milestones and mitigate potential delays.
Some of your duties will include:
Responsible to manage day-to-day planning, controlling and monitoring of all projects development and construction under IFMS Project Department
Create a strategy and action master plan of all project’s development, construction and progress are captured, monitored, controlled, and ensure its being followed up on a regular basis in most effective and efficient way
Controlling and monitoring of actual progress achievement, manpower deployment, cost spending against approved plan and as per contracted scopes in regular basis
Provide comprehensive review and challenge-back calculation on all submission related to time schedule, manpower, equipment, procurement planning submission by contractors / sub-contractors / vendors / suppliers
Provide a strategic action plan that sets milestone target in accordance with duration of time, construction method and work sequences in general project schedule
Provide forecasting plan of any potential project slips in time duration, progress achievement, cost & budget, and prepare a delay analysis and recovery plan to overcome the risk
Prepare cost estimation (owner estimate) of all planned projects refer to drawings, material specifications and scope of works. Controlling cost against overall budget planned in periodical basis as in the BP / AFE (monthly, quarterly, semesterly, yearly). Monitoring actual spending budget against planning of each and all projects against allocation in detail specs, variances, deviations
Checking and ensuring all progress claims and invoices are accordance to actual progress at site, completed with proper documented evidence, submitted as per contracted scope, all in timely manner
Identify, check, review, and ensure potential VO/CO to be included in the monitoring cost & budget, and are submitted with complete justification, calculation, and impact to overall project plan
Prepare management report in weekly basis
Other duties as assigned.
What skills and experience do you need?
Bachelor of civil engineering / building engineering / project and construction management / related discipline with certain relevant certifications is a plus.
A total 12 – 15 years a substantial amount of time spent working in construction industry of light, general, commercial and residential projects; with 10 years’ experience as project control engineer, and 5 years working as Superintendent / Lead / Assistant Manager role. In addition, proven managed or involved in EPC projects in 3 years. Having work for mining company / industry would be an advantage
Experience and manage day-to-day project planning, controlling, and monitoring activities for facilities development and construction projects, which include control strategies and action master plans for effective monitoring and follow-up, monitor and analyze project progress, manpower deployment, and cost performance against approved plans and contracts, be able to evaluate and manage VO/CO submissions, including cost, schedule, and impact analysis.
Hands on in review, validate, and challenge contractor and vendor submissions related to schedules, manpower, equipment, and procurement planning, develop milestone-based project schedules aligned with construction methods and work sequences, perform project forecasting, delay analysis, and recovery planning to mitigate time and cost risks, prepare owner cost estimates and control project budgets against BP/AFE allocations and approved financial plans, be able to verify progress claims and invoices against actual site progress and contractual requirements.
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; Computer literate with pproficiency in relevant software and tools for quality management and reporting.
