About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Officer to join our team on a full-time based in Bandung, West Java. In this pivotal role, you will be the front line of technical support for our organisation, providing essential IT assistance to ensure smooth operations across all departments. The IT Support Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining our technology infrastructure and user satisfaction, directly contributing to the productivity and success of PT Kartika Sari Indonesia. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving a wide variety of technical issues whilst maintaining professional and courteous communication with all users.

Key responsibilities

  1. Provide first-level technical support to end users via telephone, email, ticketing system and in-person assistance

  2. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network connectivity issues in a timely manner

  3. Install, configure and maintain computer systems, peripherals and software applications

  4. Perform regular maintenance on IT equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent technical issues

  5. Manage and maintain IT asset inventory and documentation

  6. Create and maintain user accounts, passwords and access permissions in accordance with security policies

  7. Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement or optimisation

  8. Assist with the setup and configuration of printers, scanners and other office equipment

  9. Document all support requests and resolutions in the IT ticketing system with clear and accurate records

  10. Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when necessary

  11. Provide basic training and guidance to users on software applications and IT best practices

  12. Support the implementation of IT projects and system upgrades across the organisation


What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles, preferably 1-3 years in a similar position

  2. Strong technical knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems

  3. Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting common hardware and software problems

  4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

  5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  6. Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  7. Preferred: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices
