About the role

We are seeking an Engineer (Mandarin Speaker) to join our team on a full-time basis in our Demak, Central Java facility. This is a strategic position within our Electrical/Electronic Engineering division, where you will play a key role in supporting our operations and liaising with our international partners and stakeholders. Your proficiency in Mandarin Chinese will be essential in facilitating communication, technical documentation, and cross-cultural collaboration within our growing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct electrical and electronic engineering assessments, designs, and testing in accordance with project specifications and industry standards

2. Provide technical support and documentation in both English and Mandarin Chinese to facilitate communication with international colleagues and partners

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and optimise engineering solutions

4. Perform troubleshooting, diagnostic work, and quality assurance testing on electrical and electronic systems and components

5. Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications with attention to detail and accuracy

6. Participate in project planning and contribute to meeting project deadlines and performance targets

7. Assist in training and mentoring junior engineering staff where applicable

8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution

2. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) is essential for this role

3. Proven experience in electrical or electronic engineering, either through previous employment or internships

4. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design, and electronic components

5. Proficiency in using engineering software and design tools relevant to electrical/electronic engineering

6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills

7. Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly

8. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

9. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

10. Professional certification or additional qualifications in electrical or electronic engineering would be advantageous
