Branch Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our organization as Branch Manager - Batam. Reporting to the Deputy Country Manager and based in Batam, will be leading and overseeing the operations within Batam. You will play a critical role in driving business growth, managing local teams, building strategic partnerships as well as delivering the business targets.

Key responsibilities

• Support Deputy Country Manager in leading and managing PT Bufab's operations in Batam, including but not limited to sales, customer service, warehouse, and quality departments

• Work with Deputy Country Manager to develop and execute effective business strategies and sales plans to drive growth for PT Bufab

• Achieve business targets for Batam

• Identify new business opportunities; develop and grow the business with existing customers

• Identify and build strategic local/ overseas supplier partnerships to increase the market penetration in Indonesia

• Close collaboration with support function heads based in Singapore to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness by optimizing processes and workflows to ensure high productivity and profitability

• Responsible of recruiting, building, and developing a high-performing team by providing guidance and coaching within operation in Batam

• Set clear KPIs and objectives and conduct regular performance reviews with employees in Batam

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to build a team with strong and close bonding

• Gatekeeper to ensure 100% compliance with all local regulations, taxation, and reporting requirements

About you

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

• Proven track record as a Branch Manager or in a similar capacity, preferably in the Fastener or C-Parts industry

• Strong business acumen and a proven track record in delivering business growth and achieving all financial obligations

• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high performing team

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels

• Strong understanding of local Fasteners/ C-Parts market dynamics in Indonesia

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required

• Fluency in spoken and written in both Bahasa and English. Chinese language will be an advantage as this position required to liaise with colleagues in HQ
