Junior High Sociology Teacher

About the role

MSCS is seeking an experienced Junior High Sociology Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators. As a full-time role, this position will be based in our campus in Surabaya, Jawa Timur, and will play a crucial part in delivering an engaging and impactful sociology curriculum to our students.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing and delivering high-quality lesson plans that effectively teach the sociology curriculum to junior high school students

2. Assessing student progress through tests, assignments, and other evaluation methods, and providing timely feedback to support their learning

3. Collaborating with the teaching team to share best practices, develop innovative teaching strategies, and contribute to the overall development of the school's educational programs

4. Maintaining accurate student records and complying with all school policies and procedures

5. Fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages students to explore the complexities of society and develop critical thinking skills

6. Participating in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your teaching expertise and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in sociology and educational practices

What we're looking for

1. Support MSCS Vision and Mission

2. Bachelor's degree in Sociology

3. Expected to join on July 2026

4. English proficiency and experience in a similar field 

5. Honest, teamwork, good communication skills, open-minded, resourceful, energetic

6. Experienced in teaching with Cambridge Curriculum is a plus

7. Will be based in Surabaya
