About the role
A Desk Merchandiser in Retail Fashion ensures the right product, in the right quantity, at the right time, in the right store, to maximise sales and profit.
Key responsibilities
Analyse fashion trends and customer needs to determine product types, models, colours, sizes, and quantities
Help determine product mix aligned with target market
Monitor stock levels in stores and warehouses
Identify fast-moving and slow-moving products
Manage replenishment and restock requirements to prevent overstock and stockouts
Analyse sales by product, category, store, size, and colour
Create product performance reports and provide recommendations to increase sales
Ensure products are displayed according to company standards, including display, mannequin, window display, and promotional areas
Provide recommendations for products requiring promotion and monitor promotion effectiveness
Monitor fashion trends and observe competitor pricing, products, displays, and promotions
About you
Ability to coordinate with Buying, Design, Warehouse, Store, Marketing, and Supplier teams
Ability to ensure product availability according to needs and timelines
Capability to create sales and stock reports and communicate analysis and recommendations to management
