Mine Plan Engineer

Job Scope:

• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans to achieve production targets.

• Prepare mining sequences, pit designs, waste dumps, haul roads, disposal areas, and stockpile layouts in accordance with Good Mining Practice.

• Perform reserve estimation, cut and fill calculations, stripping ratio analysis, and mine progress evaluations.

• Monitor mine plan implementation against actual production and recommend corrective actions for deviations.

• Coordinate with Mine Operations, Survey, Geology, HSE, and Plant Departments to ensure effective execution of mine plans.

• Prepare weekly, monthly, and production forecast plans to support operational targets.

• Analyze equipment productivity and recommend operational improvements to optimize mining performance.

• Ensure mine designs comply with safety standards, environmental requirements, and Good Mining Practice (GMP).

• Prepare technical mine planning reports, production progress reports, and performance evaluations.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

• Monitor field implementation of mine plans and evaluate actual mining conditions for continuous optimization

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or Geological Engineering from an accredited university.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mine Plan Engineer in a nickel mining operation (site-based).

• Mandatory proficiency in Surpac and Minescape.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Strong understanding of open-pit nickel mining, mine scheduling, pit optimization, and basic geotechnical principles.

• Knowledge of reserve estimation, stripping ratio analysis, ore control, haul road design, disposal planning, and stockpile management.

• Good understanding of Good Mining Practice (GMP), Mining Safety (K3), and Indonesian mining regulations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical reporting skills.

• Able to work under pressure, target-oriented, and collaborate effectively across departments.

• Willing to work at a nickel mining site under a roster system.

• Based in Jakarta; frequent business trips to project and mining sites are required.
