About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Assistant Manager to support the legal affairs of Rinjani Bay Developments. This role will act as the primary legal representative for RBD’s day-to-day legal matters, with a strong focus on property development, land administration, permits, legal documentation, regulatory compliance, and coordination with external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in Indonesian land law, property transactions, legal due diligence, licensing, and government authority coordination. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who is detail-oriented, practical, commercially aware, and comfortable working closely with internal teams, notaries, BPN, OSS, local government authorities, and external legal advisers.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary legal representative supporting the legal affairs of Rinjani Bay Developments (RBD), ensuring legal matters are managed efficiently and in accordance with applicable laws and Company policies.
Draft, review, and administer contracts, agreements, legal correspondence, and other legal documentation relating to RBD's business and operations.
Conduct legal due diligence, legal research, and prepare legal summaries and opinions in relation to RBD projects and property transactions.
Coordinate land administration matters, including title verification, land documentation, registrations, certifications, and related legal processes.
Liaise with notaries, BPN, OSS, local government authorities, external legal advisers, and other relevant stakeholders on matters relating to RBD.
Coordinate and monitor permit, licensing, and regulatory approval processes required for RBD's projects and operations.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting RBD and report significant legal or regulatory developments to the Group Legal Manager.
Maintain legal records, trackers, permit registers, contract databases, and document repositories relating to RBD.
Coordinate the execution, notarisation, registration, and safekeeping of legal documents for RBD.
Support the implementation of legal compliance initiatives within RBD and assist with internal compliance requirements.
Prepare legal reports and provide regular updates on ongoing legal matters affecting RBD.
Provide legal support to other companies within the Group or assist the Group Legal Manager on cross-functional legal matters as assigned.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Group Legal Manager.
Reporting Line
The Legal Assistant Manager – RBD reports directly to the Group Legal Manager. While primarily responsible for legal matters relating to Rinjani Bay Developments, the position may also provide legal support to other entities within the Group and assist the Group Legal Manager on strategic or cross-functional legal matters as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Law (S.H.) with a minimum of 3–5 years' relevant legal experience, preferably in property development, real estate, construction, infrastructure, or land-related legal practice.
Willing and enthusiastic to relocate to Sumbawa and be based at the Company's project site.
Has completed either the Special Education for the Legal Profession (PKPA) or a Master's Degree in Notarial Law (Magister Kenotariatan/M.Kn.). Admission as an Advocate (PERADI) and/or appointment as a Notary Public is an advantage but not mandatory.
Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Strong knowledge of Indonesian land law, property transactions, leasehold arrangements, licensing and permitting, OSS, BPN processes, and notarial documentation.
Demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and administering legal documents, including land-related agreements, sale and lease documentation, construction and vendor agreements, legal correspondence, permits, and compliance records.
Experienced in conducting legal due diligence, reviewing land documents, undertaking legal research, and preparing practical legal advice, summaries, and recommendations for management.
Familiar with handling legal disputes, regulatory matters, and interactions with government authorities, including the Police, where required. Experience in litigation or dispute resolution is an advantage but not mandatory.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with notaries, BPN, local government authorities, external legal counsel, consultants, clients, and internal project teams.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach across functions.
High level of integrity, professionalism, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experienced in maintaining legal documentation and records.
