To support our expansion project in Mining Fixed Processing Plant/ Mineral Processing, we are looking for highly motivated and experienced professionals to fill the following position:
PROCESS MAINTENANCE – CONVEYOR
Superintendent – Process Maintenance, Conveyor
Supervisor – Maintenance, Conveyor
Mechanic – Conveyor
What skills and experience do you need?
Superintendent/ Coordinator/ Engineer: Bachelor’s Mechanical Engineering; Supervisor: Diploma qualification in Mechanical Engineering; Trade Mechanic: Senior High School / Vocational School (Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).
Superintendent: 10–12 years in mechanical maintenance/ engineering, incl. 5 years senior supervisory/leadership or 3 years as Superintendent/Section Head role aligned to the applied area (conveyor maintenance for fixed plant operations)
Supervisor: Minimum 8 years in mechanical maintenance, Incl. 3-5 years in relevant supervisory role aligned to the applied area (conveyor maintenance for fixed plant operations)
Trade – Mechanical: Minimum 4 years in conveyor maintenance; proven experience working in mechanical conveyor maintenance, preferably in mining, cement, or heavy industrial environments.
Have experiences within large Process Fixed Plant / Mineral Processing / Mining / Cement plant/ Heavy Industry environments.
Must-have Skills (Core – applies across Superintendent/Senior Engineer/Engineer/Supervisor)
- Strong knowledge of belt conveyor systems and key components (belts, pulleys, idlers/rollers, take-up systems, drive units) and ability to maintain safe, reliable operations.
- Strong capability in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance execution and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and improve availability.
- Strong belt splicing and replacement exposure (hot & cold splicing; alignment, tensioning, tracking) with focus on quality/OEM compliance (level-dependent).
- Ability to support/lead root cause analysis (RCA) of conveyor/belt failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Strong HSE compliance: adherence to SOP/JSA, Permit to Work (PTW), LOTO, high-risk work controls, toolbox meetings and hazard identification.
Must-have Skills (Role/Level-Specific)
Superintendent
- Ability to plan and execute conveyor shutdowns (work sequencing, resource readiness, risk mitigation) and manage/assess contractor performance for splicing and conveyor works.
- Ability to manage conveyor spare parts strategies (critical/insurance spares identification, planning, and inventory control).
- Proficiency with CMMS (SAP/Pronto/Maximo/equivalent) for planning and reporting.
Supervisor
- Hands-on supervision of maintenance execution and field verification; shutdown readiness (manpower/tools/spares) and contractor oversight; reporting and CMMS updates.
Mechanic – Conveyor
- Practical capability in inspection/repair, tracking/alignment/tensioning, troubleshooting belt misalignment/slippage/wear/tearing and drive faults; ability to read mechanical drawings/technical documents.
Good-to-have:
- Demonstrated continuous improvement capability for conveyor system reliability and maintenance quality (especially Superintendent/Supervisor).
- Strong reporting discipline (daily/weekly status, downtime and issues) and documentation accuracy.
- CMMS proficiency (SAP / Pronto / Maximo or equivalent) for work orders, planning, monitoring, reporting, and documentation control.
-Exposure to inspection and monitoring practices (e.g., analysis basics, equipment condition checks) and maintenance performance reporting.
-Experience managing contractors/vendors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance
- Certification / License:
Superintendent (required/expected as stated): Valid K3 / Occupational Health & Safety certification relevant to industrial maintenance; SMKP certification; ISO 45001 awareness or internal auditor certification; Conveyor splicing/belt handling certification from recognized manufacturers/service providers.
Supervisor (Preferred): K3/OHS, LOTO, Working at Height, Conveyor Belt Splicing Certification; SMKP / ISO 45001 awareness.
Mechanic – Conveyor (Preferred): Belt splicing certification and HSE/LOTO training.
