Team Leader – Network Security Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a Team Leader – Network Security Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing security solutions to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise across network security, endpoint security, data security, and privileged access management, along with the ability to lead and provide technical guidance to a security engineering team.

The ideal candidate has experience in deploying and managing cybersecurity solutions, troubleshooting complex security issues, implementing security best practices, and leading technical teams to deliver effective security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and provide technical direction to the Network Security Engineering team, including task planning, mentoring, and technical support.

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain various security solutions, including:

  • Network security solutions such as Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS.

  • Endpoint security solutions, including EDR platforms.

  • Data security solutions such as DLP and encryption technologies.

  • Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to secure, monitor, and control privileged accounts and access.

• Perform deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of security tools and platforms.

• Manage and support PAM implementation, including privileged account management, access control, session monitoring, and policy enforcement.

• Develop and maintain security architecture aligned with industry standards and best practices.

• Analyze security risks and provide recommendations to strengthen security posture.

• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support security initiatives and resolve technical issues.

• Ensure security solutions are properly monitored, maintained, and continuously improved.

Requirements

• Proven experience in implementing and managing security solutions (mandatory), including:

  • Network Security: Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS.

  • Endpoint Security / EDR.

  • Data Security: DLP, encryption.

  • Privileged Access Management (PAM).

• Hands-on experience in deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cybersecurity tools.

• Experience implementing and managing PAM solutions, including privileged account lifecycle management, access controls, and session monitoring.

• Strong understanding of security architecture, cybersecurity principles, and industry best practices.

• Solid knowledge of networking concepts, including routing, switching, VLAN, network segmentation, and connectivity troubleshooting.

• Experience in leading a technical team, including task delegation, mentoring, and technical guidance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex security challenges.

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
