Warehouse Assistant Manager (Mandarin Speaker)

About the role

PT. Surya Fajar Indonesia is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager (Mandarin Speaker) to join our operations team in Bekasi Regency, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient management and day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. As Warehouse Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to oversee logistics operations, staff management, inventory control, and ensure that all warehouse activities comply with company standards and safety regulations. This role is instrumental in maintaining our high service levels and operational excellence within the warehousing and distribution sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of goods

• Monitor and manage warehouse inventory accuracy and conduct regular stock audits to ensure data integrity

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, including scheduling, training and performance management

• Liaise with international teams and Chinese-speaking clients using fluent Mandarin communication

• Maintain accurate warehouse records, reports and documentation in compliance with company procedures

• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and enhance operational performance

• Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements

• Support the Warehouse Manager in budgeting, planning and strategic initiatives

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse management or warehouse operations within a logistics or distribution environment

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading and writing) – essential for daily communication with international teams and clients

• Proven experience in inventory management, stock control and warehouse systems

• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance standards in warehousing operations

• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising and managing warehouse teams

• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

• Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of logistics processes, supply chain management and distribution operations

• Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin/Chinese
