Accounting Manager

Our client, a growing company in the food manufacturing and FMCG industry, is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support sound financial decision-making across the organization.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, tax compliance, and internal controls. The role will also lead and develop the accounting team, improve financial processes, and identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and strengthen cost management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Manage cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts to support the company’s financial objectives.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Supervise, mentor, and support accounting staff in their daily duties and responsibilities.
• Assign tasks and projects, establish performance goals, and conduct performance evaluations for accounting team members.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and requirements.
• Identify and implement automation and process improvement initiatives to streamline financial operations.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, cost-control opportunities, and potential areas for revenue enhancement.
• Monitor accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Coordinate with internal departments and other stakeholders on financial and accounting matters.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or any four- to five-year course related to Accountancy.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in Accounting/Accountancy.
• At least 1 year of experience in Project Management.
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within Accounting/Accountancy.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead an accounting team effectively.
