Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Strategy
· Develop and execute overall project execution strategy across three integrated workstreams: facilities/EPC, drilling & completions, and gas treating technology deployment
· Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC)
· Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, joint venture partners, and regulatory bodies
· Drive project governance, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and industry best practices
Technical & Operational Oversight
· Oversee FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction activities
· Manage interfaces between subsurface, drilling, facilities, and pipeline/export infrastructure teams
· Ensure technical integrity and adherence to engineering standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.)
· Review and approve key engineering deliverables, change orders, and technical queries
· Put together team as per approved SKK manpower organization structure
Cost & Schedule Management
· Develop and maintain project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections
· Monitor project schedule; manage cost control, variance analysis, and reporting
· Approve and negotiate contract variations, change orders, and claims
Contract & Stakeholder Management
· Manage EPC/EPCM contractors, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring contractual compliance
· Lead contract negotiations and dispute resolution processes
· Liaise with regulators on various licenses, drilling permits, environmental approvals, and technology deployment approvals
· Manage JV partner reporting, particularly around technology risk disclosure and drilling AFE approvals
HSE & Risk Management
· Champion HSE culture across drilling operations (well control, H2S/CO2 exposure), construction, and new technology commissioning
· Lead well control risk assessments and ensure blowout preventer (BOP) and well control procedures meet regulatory standards
· Conduct HAZOP/HAZID specific to CO2 stripping technology, addressing novel process risks
· Ensure CO2 exposure risk management (asphyxiation risk, high-pressure CO2 handling) in facility design and operating procedures
· Develop technology-specific risk register given early-stage/first-of-kind deployment status
Team Leadership
· Build and lead a multidisciplinary team including drilling engineers, process/technology specialists, and construction management
· Coordinate closely with Drilling Superintendent, Process/Technology Lead, and Construction Manager as direct technical leads
· Foster collaboration between Nations Petroleum, EPC contractor, drilling contractor, and technology licensor
Required Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil) or related field
· Licensed Engineer
Experience
· 25+ years of progressive experience in oil and gas project management
· Minimum 15-20 years in a senior/lead PM role on major capital projects
· Proven track record delivering large-scale upstream, midstream, or downstream projects
· International project experience preferred
Technical Skills
· Strong understanding of EPC/EPCM contracting models (Lump Sum, Reimbursable, Hybrid)
· Solid grasp of cost engineering, risk management, and change control processes
· Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (environmental, safety, local content requirements)
Leadership & Soft Skills
· Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
· Strong decision-making capability under pressure and ambiguity
· Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, presentations to executive/board level)
· Cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse, international teams
