Engineer

About the role

The Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical development of Helm Care machines and related equipment. The role requires a hands-on person who can work independently in the field, diagnose technical problems quickly, coordinate with suppliers and partners, and help improve the reliability and performance of Helm Care's machines.

Key responsibilities

• Install Helm Care machines at new locations and conduct electrical and technical checks before machine activation

• Ensure machines are correctly connected to electricity, water, drainage, and other required systems

• Test machines after installation and confirm they are fully operational

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on Helm Care machines

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and electronic issues

• Replace damaged or worn components including pumps, motors, valves, sensors, wiring, and control systems

• Respond to machine breakdowns and technical complaints to minimize downtime

• Investigate technical problems, identify root causes of recurring issues, and provide remote technical support

• Travel to locations when on-site intervention is required and maintain records of technical issues and repairs

• Identify opportunities to improve machine reliability, efficiency, safety, and ease of maintenance

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field

• Practical experience with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or automated equipment

• Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and technical drawings

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working hands-on with machinery and able to use basic electrical and mechanical tools

• Able to work independently and in the field

• Good communication and reporting skills

• Willingness to travel between Helm Care locations

• Experience with vending machines, washing machines, pumps, automated systems, or similar equipment is preferred

• Valid driving licence and ability to travel by motorcycle or car is preferred
