Estimator / Pricing Specialist – Furniture & Interior (Bali)

About This Role

The Estimator/Pricing Specialist is responsible for delivering fast, accurate, and competitive cost estimations for both loose and built-in/custom furniture. This role analyzes cost components (materials, labor, finishing, hardware, logistics) to set target pricing, prepares BOQs and cost breakdowns, and develops and maintains the factory database together with the Purchasing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimations for loose & built-in furniture based on materials, labor, finishing, hardware, and logistics.

• Develop BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on design documents and/or technical drawings.

• Collect, compare, and evaluate cost submissions from factories and suppliers to recommend the most competitive option.

• Develop and maintain the shared factory database (capacity, specialization, pricing) — the same database used by the Purchasing Manager, not a separate one.

• Continue and verify the material/labor/finishing rate data per factory that was already partially built — this needs to be re-audited before being used as a reference, not taken at face value.

• Prepare final quotations with a turnaround of no more than 2 working days.

• Maintain a historical pricing database from completed projects for future benchmarking.

• Reconcile factory data regularly with the Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications

• Min. Bachelor's degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field (strong non-S1 candidates with relevant experience are still considered).

• Min. 1–2 years of experience as an Estimator, QS, Purchasing staff, or similar role in the furniture/interior industry.

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).

• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets — will be verified through a written test, not taken at face value from the CV.

• Familiar with material sourcing; able to research new suppliers and evaluate manufacturing capability.

• Based in Bali, or willing to relocate to Bali full-time (required).

• Detail-oriented and comfortable working within a structure that is still being built (not all SOPs exist yet).
