Electrical Engineering Manager / Electrical Project Manager

The Electrical Engineering Manager / Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of electrical construction projects. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management : Lead end-to-end electrical construction projects including planning, scheduling, and resource management, monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to achieve project milestones, Manage project risks and resolve technical and commercial issues.

  • Budget & Commercial Management: Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, and subcontractor payments, Manage change orders, variations, and contractual claims, review subcontractor and supplier payment applications, Ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Engineering & Technical Coordination : Coordinate electrical works across civil, mechanical, and architectural disciplines, review drawings, technical submittals, and oversee procurement of equipment and materials, Ensure compliance with electrical codes, quality standards, and client specifications, Oversee testing, commissioning, and system energization activities.

  • Procurement & Subcontractor Management : Select, evaluate, and manage electrical subcontractors and suppliers, Monitor procurement schedules to ensure timely material delivery, Coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) where applicable.

  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) : Promote and enforce a strong HSE policies, conduct site safety inspections, and manage risk assessments, ensure compliance with company HSE policies and local regulations, Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.

  • Act as primary Shareholders contact; lead project meetings and deliver progress reports

  • Manage project close-out including punch lists, defect rectification, and final acceptance

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mechanical Engineering graduates are welcome to apply)

  • Must be able to read blueprints and electrical drawings

  • Experience in electrical construction and project management

  • Exposure to commercial, industrial or large building electrical projects is an advantage

  • PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage

  • Technical knowledge of LV/MV systems, power distribution, switchgear, transformers, Emergency Powe and UPS system, lighting, earthing, fire alarm system, ELV systems (CCTV, BMS, Access Control), and electrical standards (IEC/NEC or local regulation)

  • Strong skills in leadership, planning, budgeting, negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder communication

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
