Job Descriptions :
Perform detailed interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data to support field development, reservoir characterization, and well planning.
Develop and maintain structural interpretations, including horizon and fault interpretation, structural frameworks, depth maps, and reservoir compartmentalization.
Integrate seismic interpretation with well logs, geological, petrophysical, pressure, production, and reservoir engineering data.
Perform and/or supervise seismic-to-well ties, synthetic seismograms, velocity analysis, time-depth conversion, and depth mapping.
Identify and characterize faults, structural closures, reservoir boundaries, and potential reservoir compartments affecting field development and production.
Support identification and maturation of new well, infill drilling, sidetrack, and redevelopment opportunities.
Provide geophysical input to well placement, target selection, well trajectory planning, and geological prognosis.
Assess seismic uncertainty and communicate its impact on well placement, reserves/resources, reservoir connectivity, and development decisions.
Conduct seismic attribute analysis and other advanced interpretation techniques where appropriate to improve reservoir characterization.
Evaluate the potential application of seismic inversion, AVO, rock physics, spectral decomposition, and other quantitative interpretation techniques where technically justified.
Review seismic data quality and identify requirements for seismic reprocessing, acquisition, or other geophysical studies.
Prepare technical scopes of work for seismic processing, reprocessing, inversion, and special geophysical studies and provide technical oversight of contractors.
Perform quality control of seismic processing and reprocessing results and ensure that final products are suitable for interpretation and development purposes.
Work closely with geologists to ensure consistency between seismic interpretation, structural frameworks, stratigraphic interpretation, and static geological models.
Work with reservoir engineers to ensure geophysical interpretations and uncertainties are appropriately incorporated into dynamic reservoir models and development scenarios.
Support preparation and updating of Field Development Plans (FDP), Plan of Development (POD), annual work programs, reserves/resource evaluations, and subsurface development strategies.
Participate in technical reviews, peer reviews, reserves evaluations, and internal assurance processes.
Prepare clear technical reports, seismic displays, maps, presentations, and recommendations for management and other stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level geoscientists.
