HSE Engineer Staff

Key responsibilities

1. Conducting regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential health, safety and environmental hazards

2. Developing and implementing HSE policies, procedures and work instructions tailored to operational requirements

3. Investigating incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions

4. Providing HSE training and induction programmes to employees across all levels

5. Monitoring and maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards

6. Preparing HSE reports and documentation for management review and regulatory submissions

7. Conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses to support operational planning

8. Collaborating with operational teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities

9. Supporting the development and maintenance of emergency response and disaster preparedness plans

10. Monitoring environmental performance and coordinating pollution prevention activities

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline

2. Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in HSE roles, preferably within mining, natural resources or energy sectors

3. Strong knowledge of Indonesian HSE regulations and international standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or equivalent

4. Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, hazard identification and incident investigations

5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present HSE information effectively to all levels of staff

6. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programmes on health and safety topics

7. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate HSE documentation and records

8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HSE management software

9. Preferred: Certification in HSE management systems or professional membership with relevant industry bodies
