Senior Plumbing & Fire Engineer

PT Meinhardt Indonesia is looking for a Senior Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer to support design and engineering works for building, infrastructure, industrial, and mission-critical projects, including data center projects.

This role is suitable for an experienced engineer with strong technical capability in plumbing, fire protection, hydraulic calculations, design coordination, and construction support.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plumbing and fire protection systems for building, infrastructure, industrial, and data center projects, including clean water, drainage, rainwater, fire hydrant, sprinkler, and fire suppression systems.

• Perform and review technical calculations, including hydraulic design, pump sizing, pressure loss, pipe sizing, water demand calculation, and fire protection system requirements.

• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, design layouts, schematics, and engineering documentation.

• Ensure all designs comply with applicable local and international standards, including SNI, NFPA, ASHRAE, UPC, and other relevant codes.

• Coordinate closely with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, and other MEP teams to ensure proper system integration.

• Support design coordination for critical facilities, including redundancy, reliability, safety, maintainability, and coordination with project requirements.

• Assist in preparing and evaluating tender documents, technical reports, engineering proposals, and technical clarifications.

• Provide technical support during construction stages, including site inspections, design clarification, material review, and resolution of site issues.

• Lead, guide, and mentor junior engineers to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of engineering deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection system design for mid to large-scale projects.

• Experience in data center, mission-critical facilities, industrial facilities, high-rise buildings, or large commercial developments is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of plumbing and fire protection codes and standards, including SNI, NFPA, ASHRAE, UPC, and other relevant regulations.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Pipe Flow Expert, or other relevant hydraulic design software.

• Experience working in a design consultancy environment is preferred.

• Good understanding of the full design process, from concept design, schematic design, detailed design, tender stage, to construction support.

• Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.

• Professional Engineer Certification or SKA is an advantage.

• Willing to attend site visits and project meetings when required.
