Junior Sous Chef — Job Opening
Seed is a modern Indonesian restaurant perched on the cliffs of Bingin, Bukit Peninsula. Our kitchen draws from Indonesian culinary traditions through a French lens — housemade sambals, wood-fire cooking, fresh and homemade everything. We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to strengthen our team and support our growth.
The Role
Working closely alongside the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the kitchen. You will be actively involved in services, contribute to training and mentoring the team, and ensure that Seed's quality standards are consistently upheld. You bring structure, technique and dedication to a tight-knit and passionate brigade.
Your Responsibilities
— Assist the Head Chef in organising and coordinating daily services
— Train, mentor and develop kitchen team members
— Create, implement and maintain Seed's kitchen standards
— Ensure the quality, consistency and presentation of every dish
— Contribute to menu development and recipe creation
— Uphold food hygiene and safety standards at all times
What We're Looking For
— Proven experience in a professional kitchen
— Strong knowledge of Indonesian cuisine — essential
— Ability to work as part of a team and bring people together
— Rigour, organisation and attention to detail
— A genuine passion for quality produce and honest cooking
