Product Design Engineer

We are looking for a passionate, creative, and technically strong Product Design Engineer to join our product development team and help bring innovative concepts into world-class automotive interior products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop premium automotive interior components from concept through production.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and product specifications.
• Develop innovative product concepts that balance aesthetics, functionality, manufacturability, durability, and cost.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Project Management teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Conduct design reviews, engineering analysis, and prototype evaluations.
  
• Improve existing products through value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), technical documentation, and manufacturing instructions.
  
• Work with suppliers to evaluate materials, production processes, and component feasibility.
  
• Ensure products comply with quality standards, engineering requirements, and customer expectations.
  
• Support prototype builds, testing activities, and production implementation.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Product Design, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Design or Product Development, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Experience in luxury automotive, vehicle customization, furniture, yacht, aerospace, or premium consumer products will be considered a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, upholstery, plastics, composites, aluminum, stainless steel, and wood applications.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar applications.
• Familiar with engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and BOM creation.
• Knowledge of product validation, prototyping, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and engineering judgment.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience designing luxury vehicle interiors, executive cabins, VIP vans, limousine conversions, or custom automotive accessories.
• Knowledge of premium materials including leather, Alcantara®, carbon fiber, hardwood veneer, aluminum, ambient lighting systems, and smart interior technologies.
• Experience integrating electrical components such as wireless charging, smart lighting, Bluetooth systems, infotainment accessories, or electronic control modules into interior products.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• Experience collaborating with prototype workshops and production teams.
