Automation & Instrument Engineer (Oil & Gas Project Based)

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review engineering documents for PLC, DCS, HMI, and instrumentation replacement or modification.

2. Perform PLC, DCS, and HMI programming, migration, configuration, and system modification.

3. Execute calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of field instruments and control devices.

4. Coordinate and carry out dismantling, installation, loop checking, commissioning, and system start-up at the project site.

5. Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, as-built documents, and deliver technical training to users.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.

2. Minimum 4-5 years of experience in PLC, DCS, HMI, and instrumentation projects, experience in the oil & gas industry is highly preferred.

3. Hands on experience in PLC/DCS programming, instrument calibration, loop checking, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.

4. Able to understand P&IDs, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, I/O lists, control logic, and system architecture.

5. Familiar with field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, control valves, switches, and related devices.

6. Willing to work at project sites and perform both project coordination and hands on technical activities.
