BARISTA

About the role :

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join the team at Bali MMA Cafe in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional beverage experiences to our members, guests, and visitors. As a Barista, you will be the face of our café operations, crafting high-quality coffees and beverages whilst maintaining the welcoming atmosphere that complements our fitness and martial arts facility. Your expertise and passion for coffee will contribute significantly to creating memorable experiences for our community.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, speciality drinks, and other hot and cold beverages to a high standard

• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and health and safety regulations

• Ensure all beverages are prepared consistently and meet quality standards in terms of taste, temperature, and presentation

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, taking orders accurately and responding to customer inquiries and preferences

• Maintain a clean and organised café workspace, including regular cleaning of equipment, surfaces, and work areas

• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies, and communicate replenishment needs to management

• Process payments accurately and handle cash or card transactions securely

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods

What we're looking for :

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar café or hospitality role

• Comprehensive knowledge of different coffee types, brewing methods, and beverage preparation techniques

• Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other professional café equipment

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during peak hours

• Good communication skills in Indonesian and English

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
