SEA EXPORT OPERATIONS

We are looking for a Sea Export Operations team member who is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in handling export shipments from booking until shipment completion.

This role is suitable for someone who understands export documentation, carrier coordination, customer communication, and day-to-day operational follow-up in freight forwarding.

Job Description

As Sea Export Operations, you will be responsible for handling and monitoring export shipments to ensure smooth operational flow, accurate documentation, and timely communication with customers, carriers, agents, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily sea export operations from booking confirmation until shipment completion.

• Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, co-loaders, agents, trucking vendors, and internal teams.

• Prepare and check export documents, including Shipping Instruction, Draft BL, Final BL, Manifest, PEB/NPE, COO or other required documents.

• Monitor shipment schedules, vessel updates, ETD/ETA, roll-over, and space availability.

• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the company system.

• Follow up document approval, BL release, and shipment status with related parties.

• Coordinate with Finance team regarding billing instruction, vendor invoice checking, and cost confirmation.

• Handle operational issues and provide timely updates or solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.

• Ensure all export processes comply with company SOP, customer requirements, and applicable export regulations.

• Maintain good communication and working relationship with customers, carriers, agents, and vendors.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Sea Export Operations within freight forwarding or logistics industry.

• Good understanding of export shipment flow, export documentation, and shipping line procedures.

• Familiar with PEB/NPE, BL, SI, manifest, and other sea export documents.

• Able to communicate with shipping lines, vendors, overseas agents, and customers.

• Detail-oriented, well organized, and able to work under deadlines.

• Good problem-solving skills and able to handle operational pressure.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Computer literate and familiar with freight forwarding systems would be an advantage.

• Able to work independently as well as in a team.

• Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and follow-up.

Preferred Qualifications

• Has experience handling export shipments to USA, Europe, or intra-Asia trade lanes.

• Familiar with AMS / ISF / ENS or other destination-specific export requirements.

• Experience in handling special corporate accounts or key accounts with complex shipment and supply chain requirements, including coordination with multiple suppliers, multiple POs, and various destination countries.

• Has experience handling both FCL and LCL shipments.

• Previous experience in multinational freight forwarding company is an advantage.
