About the Role

Svara Boutique Residences is a new boutique property in Pecatu, Bali, offering a curated café and restaurant experience alongside 29 private villas. We are looking for a Head Barista who takes genuine pride in coffee, can lead and train a small team, and operates independently to deliver a consistently excellent coffee experience for our guests.

What You Will Do

•        Own the daily coffee operation — opening, setup, machine calibration, and closing

•        Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, filter coffee, and specialty drinks to a consistently high standard

•        Train, mentor, and oversee junior baristas to ensure quality and consistency across all shifts

•        Maintain equipment — daily cleaning, routine maintenance, and flagging technical issues promptly

•        Manage coffee stock, ordering, and wastage tracking

•        Develop and update the coffee menu in line with the property's concept and guest expectations

•        Ensure a warm, knowledgeable, and professional experience for every guest interaction

•        Collaborate with the kitchen and F&B team on menu pairing and special offerings

What We Are Looking For

•        Minimum 3 years of experience as a barista, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role

•        Hands-on experience operating and maintaining commercial espresso machines

•        Strong foundation in coffee knowledge — origin, roast profiles, extraction, and brewing methods

•        Proven ability to train and develop junior team members

•        Able to work independently and take full ownership of the coffee program

•        Indonesian national with fully bilingual communication skills in Indonesian and English

•        Guest-focused with a professional and warm manner

•        Experience in a boutique hotel, villa property, or quality café environment preferred

• Experience with bar tending desirable.
