Senior Engineer

Qualifications :

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior engineering or supervisory role.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

• Proven experience managing engineering activities for commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Experience working with/for a main contractor, EPC contractor, or property developer is preferred.

• Experience working in Japanese Company

• Familiarity with Construction safety regulations and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.

• Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required..

• Leadership and team management capability.

Technical Competencies :

• Experience in construction planning, scheduling, and resource management.

• Master's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is an advantage.

• Knowledge of structural, architectural, and MEP coordination.

• Strong understanding of quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures.

• Knowledge of construction contracts, project documentation, and engineering standards.

• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and statutory requirements.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other engineering design software.

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project for project scheduling.

• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent registration.

• Certification in Project Management (PMP) is an advantage.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the engineering function for assigned construction projects.

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

• Prepare tender submissions.

• Manage extension of time (EOT), and claims.

• Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.

• Mentor and supervise junior engineers.
