Assembly Technician (On-site Batam)

IBMC is assisting a client in hiring a vital operational leader. Our client designs, manufactures, and supports enterprise-class IT and AI infrastructure systems — from GPU servers to data platforms — all built, secured, and supported in the UAE. Powering technological sovereignty and strategic enterprise initiatives, they are expanding their global footprint and establishing a new operational facility in Batam, Indonesia.

We are seeking a highly disciplined, precise, and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our upcoming manufacturing operations. Based permanently on-site at our new facility in Batam, this role sits at the heart of our high-end technology hardware production line. Your goal is to manually assemble sophisticated datacenter components and GPU servers with the highest level of accuracy, strictly following technical workflows to meet production targets safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware Assembly: Perform precise manual assembly of datacenter-grade hardware, GPU servers, and related electronic components following detailed technical work instructions.

• ESD Protection: Strictly adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling protocols to safeguard sensitive semiconductor and server elements from damage.

• Quality Adherence: Conduct basic visual self-checks during the assembly process to maintain compliance with elite international hardware standards.

• Workflow Integration: Collaborate closely with production floor supervisors and fellow line technicians to maintain a smooth, efficient, and clean assembly line environment.

• Standards Training: Actively participate in advanced initial production training provided by the Dubai technical team to master our standard assembly specifications.

Requirements

• Education: Vocational High School Graduate (SMK) majoring in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Technical Literacy: Strong ability to read, comprehend, and execute highly technical step-by-step work instructions.

• Skills: Prior familiarity with structural ESD handling tools and safe electronics assembly environments.

• Mindset: Highly trainable with a strong willingness to learn advanced infrastructure standards, adapt quickly, and demonstrate excellent precision under production floor targets.

• Presence: Must be fully open to a permanent, on-site position located in Batam, Indonesia.

Nice-to-Haves / Bonus Points

• Prior professional experience in high-end server assembly, PCB handling, or high-precision electronics manufacturing lines.

• Familiarity with basic 5S workplace organizational methodologies on a manufacturing floor.
