We are seeking a compassionate and customer-focused Behavioral Health Member Services Representative to join our healthcare support team. In this role, you will assist members with inquiries related to behavioral and mental health benefits, eligibility, provider networks, claims, authorizations, and available healthcare services. You will serve as the primary point of contact for members, ensuring they receive accurate information, timely assistance, and an exceptional customer experience while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound calls from members regarding behavioral health benefits, coverage, eligibility, claims, and service requests.
- Assist members in locating in-network behavioral health providers and accessing appropriate healthcare services.
- Explain healthcare plan benefits, authorizations, referrals, and other member-related inquiries.
- Accurately document customer interactions and update member information in the system.
- Resolve member concerns efficiently or escalate complex cases to the appropriate department.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies regarding confidentiality and data privacy.
- Meet established quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide timely and effective support for members.
Qualifications
- College graduates are welcome to apply, with or without BPO experience.
- College undergraduates or high school graduates must have at least 6 months of BPO or customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong customer service, problem-solving, and active listening skills.
- Basic computer navigation and typing proficiency.
- Willing to work onsite and on a shifting schedule.
- Previous healthcare, behavioral health, or customer service experience is an advantage but not required.
