- Oversee building projects so they finish safely, on time, on budget, and to spec.
- Plan the work: create schedules, milestones, and sequencing.
- Manage the budget: track costs, approve invoices, control changes.
- Lead the team: supervise crews and subcontractors; assign tasks and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure safety and quality: enforce site safety plans; run inspections and quality checks.
- Coordinate stakeholders: communicate with owners, designers, inspectors, and suppliers.
- Handle contracts and permits: administer contracts, RFIs, change orders; secure approvals.
- Monitor progress: conduct site walks, keep reports with photos, and adjust plans as needed.
- Manage risks: anticipate issues (delays, shortages, weather) and implement mitigations.
