About the role
We are seeking an experienced HR&GA Manager to join our organisation on a fulltime basis in Batam, Riau Islands. This is a pivotal leadership position within our Human Resources and Administration department. As HR&GA Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management (recruitment, payroll, training, BPJS, etc), general administration, and employee relations. This role is strategically important to the organisation, as you will be instrumental in shaping our organisational culture, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
Develop, implement and manage comprehensive human resources policies, procedures and programmes aligned with organisational objectives
Oversee recruitment and selection processes, including job profiling, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and onboarding of new employees
Manage employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, grievance handling and employee communications
Administer payroll, benefits and compensation programmes in accordance with local regulations and company policies
Ensure compliance with Indonesian labour laws, regulations and statutory requirements
Coordinate training and development programmes to support employee growth and skills enhancement
Manage general administration functions including office management, facilities and vendor relations
Maintain and update employee records, documentation and HR information systems
Conduct exit interviews and manage employee separation processes
Prepare HR reports, analytics and insights to inform strategic decision-making
Lead and supervise the HR and administration team, providing coaching, mentoring and performance management
Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes diversity, inclusion and employee wellbeing
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible human resources management experience
Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition
Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour laws, employment regulations and compliance requirements
Experience in payroll and benefits administration
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels
Strong organisational and time management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams
Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal)
Preferred experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors would be advantageous
