Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement strategies to support mining operations while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiation, and contract award.
Manage procurement of mining operational requirements, including heavy equipment, spare parts, fuel, consumables, mining services, and contractors.
Oversee procurement and commercial negotiations for marine logistics, including barges, tugboats, shipping services, and other transportation vendors.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers while monitoring vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service standards.
Negotiate and administer procurement contracts in compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
Identify cost-saving initiatives and drive continuous improvements in procurement processes and supply chain efficiency.
Monitor procurement budgets, spending, and purchasing performance to support business objectives.
Identify and mitigate procurement risks related to supplier performance, contract execution, and supply continuity.
Collaborate closely with Operations, Project, Logistics, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with operational needs.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Commercial functions, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the mining industry.
Proven experience managing procurement for mining operations, including heavy equipment, spare parts, fuel, mining services, and operational materials.
Strong understanding of marine logistics, including barge (tongkang), tugboat, and shipping operations.
Proven experience negotiating commercial contracts with shipping companies, logistics providers, contractors, or strategic suppliers.
Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, strategic sourcing, contract management, and vendor performance management.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Familiar with procurement governance, compliance, and mining industry regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantage.
Willing to travel to project sites as required
