About the role
PT Takenaka Indonesia is seeking a TAX - FAT Staff to join our Finance and Administration team in Central Jakarta on a full-time basis. This role is crucial to ensuring our organisation maintains full compliance with Indonesian tax regulations whilst optimising our tax position. As FAT Staff, you will support the taxation function by managing routine tax compliance activities, preparing tax documentation, and assisting senior tax professionals in delivering high-quality tax services to the business. This position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in Indonesian taxation within a growing international organisation.
Key responsibilities
Preparing and filing various Indonesian tax returns and compliance documents, including PPh (income tax), PPN (value-added tax), and other applicable taxes
Maintaining accurate and organised tax records and documentation in accordance with Indonesian tax authority requirements
Conducting tax calculations and ensuring accuracy of tax provisions and payments
Assisting in the preparation of tax correspondence and communications with Indonesian tax authorities
Supporting the reconciliation of tax accounts and investigating variances
Monitoring changes in Indonesian tax legislation and regulations to ensure the organisation remains compliant
Assisting with tax planning initiatives and providing supporting documentation for tax positions
Collaborating with accounting and finance teams to ensure seamless tax and financial reporting integration
Performing general administrative duties related to the taxation function
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field
Knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and tax compliance requirements
Strong proficiency in tax compliance procedures and tax documentation preparation
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with ability to work efficiently with data and spreadsheets
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Good written and verbal communication skills in both Indonesian and English
Professional attitude with a commitment to confidentiality and data security
Preferred experience: Previous experience working in a tax department, accounting firm, or finance team in Indonesia
Preferred qualification: Registered as a tax consultant with the Indonesian tax authority or working towards this qualification
