Senior Laboratory Sampling

TechnicoFlor Indonesia seeking a dynamic and highly technical professional to join our team as a Senior Laboratory Sampling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sample Request Workflow Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact to receive, evaluate, prioritize, and manage the workflow of sample requests coming from the Sales Team, Perfumers, and the Fragrance Department.

• Laboratory Operational Ownership: Lead and execute the entire end-to-end laboratory process—from receiving Purchase Orders (POs), sample preparation, compounding, to sample application on test media—ensuring strict adherence to SOPs and quality standards.

• Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Synchronization: Actively coordinate with the Production Team regarding raw material availability for compounding needs, and ensure a seamless transition of sample formulas when scaling up to commercial production.

• Logistics Management & SLA Fulfillment: Manage the outflow of sample deliveries and POs, ensure timely dispatch according to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and maintain well-organized laboratory administrative documentation.

• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate daily laboratory workflows to identify areas for improvement, minimize operational bottlenecks, and maintain high efficiency in sample turnaround times.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s (S1) or Master’s (S2) Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related linear scientific discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a laboratory environment.

• Proven experience or background in the Fragrance or FMCG industry is highly preferred and will be a distinct advantage.

Technical & Operational Proficiency:

• Proficient in sample preparation techniques, chemical analysis methodologies, and operating modern laboratory instrumentation (e.g., GC-MS, HPLC).

• Highly skilled in formulation techniques and fragrance/FMCG product compounding with high precision, alongside a deep understanding of raw material profiles.

• Experienced in conducting sample application tests across various end-product media (e.g., personal care, home care, fine fragrance).

• Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory health and safety regulations (K3/HSE) and quality management systems (ISO 9001 / ISO 17025).

Advanced Professional & Interpersonal Skills :

• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and negotiation skills to align expectations and build consensus among Sales, Perfumers, Production, and Management teams.

• Project & Time Management: Ability to manage high-volume project queues, establish priorities under pressure, and make tactical on-site decisions.

• Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach to resolving both technical and operational laboratory issues.
