Estimator

Our company is looking for Estimator to support pricing louvres, aluminum battens, and a wide range of commercial and residential aluminum products for an Australian construction company. This role will prepare shop drawings, take-offs, and estimating support across louvres, battens, and polycarbonate cladding/roofing systems.

You will be working to Australian project standards and timelines, supporting technical delivery from Batam while collaborating closely with Australian project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for tenders and projects

• Review drawings, specifications, and scope of works

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing

• Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and cost breakdowns

• Support bid submissions and documentations

• Collaborate with Adelaide-based estimating/project teams

• Other responsibilities as required

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture

• 1-3 years in estimating, cost planning, or related role.

Core Estimating Skills

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings

• Strong in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and material schedules

• Competence in preparing cost breakdowns, comparisons, and tender documentation

• Understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing

Software & Tools

• Excel (advanced): VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, PivotTables, cost modelling

• Drafting tools: AutoCAD/Revit (interpretation & measurement)

• Collaboration tools: Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, Dropbox, EstimateOne

Other Technical Competencies

• Sourcing and comparing supplier/subcontractor quotations

• Knowledge of facade systems, aluminum works, balustrades, battens, louvres, roof safety systems

• Structured report writing and cost analysis presentations

• High numerical accuracy and attention to detail

Working Arrangements

• Full-time role

• Monday to Friday with early start preferred (7 AM Batam time)

• Must be based in Batam, Indonesia
