Accounting Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting

Manager to join our Finance team to handle our Hydro Power Plant Account.

The successful candidate will oversee daily accounting functions, ensure

accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting and tax

regulations, and support the financial performance of the plant. This role also

provides leadership to the accounting team and collaborates with various

departments to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor budgets, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost control.
• Manage accounting records for plant assets, capital expenditures, and depreciation.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff.
• Support management by providing financial analysis and reports for decision-making.
• Performs other task that may be assigned by immediate head. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. .
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in the power plant, energy, utilities, manufacturing, or infrastructure industry is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
