A-Star Tuition is a growing tutoring center dedicated to helping students build strong academic foundations and confidence in Mathematics and Science. Our programs serve middle and high school students, including exam preparation and advanced problem-solving.
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our tutoring team. The ideal candidate should be able to explain mathematical concepts clearly, engage students effectively, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics to middle and high school students.
Prepare lesson materials, worksheets and practice exercises.
Assess students' progress and provide feedback to parents.
Help students improve problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Maintain a positive and motivating learning environment.
Requirements
Possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering from a reputable university.
Overseas graduates are preferred.
Possess a strong understanding of mathematical concepts.
Possess good communication and teaching skills.
Demonstrate strong English proficiency and the capacity to deliver lessons confidently in English.
Possess at least 2 years of teaching experience in a school or a similar tutoring center.
Show a high level of responsibility towards teaching and students' academic progress.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with IB DP, IB MYP, AP Calculus AB & BC, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge A-Level, and Honors Math curricula.
Ability to teach multiple grade levels.
Familiarity with online teaching tools such as Zoom or Google Meet.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday from 2:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Friday from 2:30 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
