About the role
PT Bintai Kindenko Engineering Indonesia is seeking a dedicated and proactive SHE Officer to join our Health, Safety & Environment team. This is a full-time position based in Jakarta. As an SHE Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting our workforce and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations across our construction operations. Your contributions will be essential in fostering a strong safety culture and minimising workplace risks throughout the organisation.
What you'll be doing
Developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
Conducting regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues
Investigating workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
Providing safety training and induction programmes to employees on-site
Maintaining detailed records of safety incidents, environmental monitoring data, and compliance documentation
Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring adherence to local and national health, safety, and environmental legislation
Promoting a positive safety culture through awareness campaigns and engagement initiatives
Monitoring waste management and environmental impact mitigation measures on construction sites
Preparing safety reports and presenting findings to senior management and project teams
Coordinating with occupational health services and emergency response procedures
What we're looking for
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an SHE Officer, preferably in the construction or engineering industry
Strong knowledge of Indonesian health, safety, and environmental legislation and international best practices
Proven experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SHE management software systems
