As a Quality Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our cocoa beans meet the highest quality standards throughout fermentation, storage, processing, and shipment. You will conduct quality inspections, analyze samples, monitor fermentation processes, maintain quality records, and collaborate closely with warehouse and operations teams to drive continuous improvement.
1. Quality Inspection and Sample Analysis (50%)
· Conduct quality inspections of wet and dry cocoa beans at the warehouse and fermentation center to ensure compliance with established standards.
· Collect and analyze cocoa bean samples to verify they meet the required quality standards and specifications.
· Monitor the quality of cocoa throughout storage and handling processes.
· Verify that cocoa beans meet quality requirements prior to final packaging and shipment.
· Maintain accurate quality records and sample analysis results.
2. Fermentation and Processing Operations (30%)
· Oversee and execute the cocoa bean fermentation process in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
· Monitor fermentation progress and identify any quality issues that may impact product quality.
· Work closely with operational teams to ensure proper handling and processing of cocoa beans.
· Support the final packaging of processed cocoa beans to prepare them for shipment to ensure batch traceability.
· Support the maintenance of quality standards throughout post-harvest processing activities.
3. Reporting and Documentation (20%)
· Prepare detailed reports on the quantity of cocoa beans entering the warehouse and the quantity that successfully passes the QC process.
· Maintain accurate product-related documentation and quality records for fermented and dry beans.
· Communicate sample analysis results and the status of sample requests to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
· Support the tracking and reporting of quality performance indicators.
· Ensure quality documentation is complete, organized, and readily accessible.
