Rebel Bakehouse is looking for a Line Cook for Baguio City branch with the following responsibilities:
Team Cooperation & Support
- Reports directly to the Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, or Kitchen Supervisor on duty.
- Actively participates in pre-shift briefings, kitchen meetings, and staff assemblies.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service.
- Upholds and promotes a positive, professional, and collaborative work culture.
- Receives and constructively applies feedback, guidance, and training from senior kitchen staff and leadership.
Kitchen Operations & Line Execution
- Prepares and cooks menu items to order, strictly following standard recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines.
- Assists in executing orders accurately and on time, especially during busy peak service hours.
- Ensures all assigned ingredients are prepped, fresh, and properly stored according to FIFO (First In, First Out) standards.
- Maintains adequate mise en place and monitors daily par levels at their assigned workstation.
- Operates kitchen equipment (grill, fryer, oven, stove, etc.) safely and with proper handling as trained.
- Performs self-checks on food presentation and taste before handing over dishes for dispatch.
- Promptly communicates any production delays, ticket issues, or customer modifications to the leadership team.
Food Quality & Safety
- Ensures all food prepared meets company quality, freshness, and consistency standards.
- Monitors cooking times, food temperatures, and sanitation practices at their assigned station.
- Implements proper food handling, storage, and clear labeling procedures.
- Maintains continuous cleanliness and organization of their workstation, tools, and shared storage areas.
- Promptly reports any product spoilage, tool breakages, or safety hazards to the Assistant Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Strictly follows sanitation, health, and basic food safety regulations.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Assists kitchen leadership in performing daily and monthly inventory counts.
- Accurately logs and reports any food wastages, spills, or shortages at their station.
- Assists in receiving, carrying, and verifying the quality and quantity of supply deliveries.
- Ensures all ingredients are rotated correctly to minimize spoilage and overproduction.
- Immediately reports any equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns to the leadership team.
Other Duties
- Adapts to and supports the implementation of new kitchen systems, seasonal recipes, or process improvements.
- Performs other ad hoc kitchen tasks or cleaning responsibilities as assigned by Management.
